IP Video Open Standards

As part of its full support for the emerging IP Video open standards currently being developed, IndigoVision has joined both the ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) and PSIA (Physical Security Interoperability Alliance).

Established in 2008 by Axis Communications, Bosch Security Systems and Sony Corporation, ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) is a global and open industry forum that is committed to the adoption of network video in the security market. ONVIF’s mission is to facilitate the development and use of a global open standard for the interface of network video products. ONVIF membership is open to manufacturers, software developers, consultants, system integrators, end-users and other interest groups that wish to participate in the activities of ONVIF.

IndigoVision has joined the ONVIF at the highest membership level, which allows the company to comment and influence discussions and documentation and to have a positive input to the development of the standard.

Fixed IP Dome Camera

The PSIA (Physical Security Interoperability Alliance) is an open-membership organization founded in February 2008 to promote the interoperability of IP-enabled security devices. Participating companies include IndigoVision, Adesta LLC, ADT Security Services, Cisco Systems, CSC, DVTel, GE Security, Genetec, IBM, IQinVision, Johnson Controls, March Networks, ObjectVideo, Orsus, Panasonic, Pelco, Santa Clara Consulting Group, Stanley Security, Texas Instruments, Verint and Vidyo.

IndigoVision is a member of the alliance that has four main working groups:

  1. IP Video
  2. Video Analytics
  3. Storage
  4. Access Control

IndigoVision will be focusing on the IP Video working group.
